We are a specialty clinic and see a high volume of Myopia patients, Dry Eye Patients and specialty contact lens patients.
Optometric Assistant Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented and experienced Optometric Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support our optometrists in providing excellent patient care by assisting with pre-testing, administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth, professional experience for every patient.
Optometric Assistant Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone
- Conduct preliminary eye tests using automated equipment prior to exams
- Collect and update patient medical and vision history
- Assisting parents in learning about Myopia Control and treatment options
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
- Support the optometrist and clinical team with daily operations
Optometric Assistant Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Optometric Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Comfortable using computerized systems and learning new technology
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and professionalism
