What You'll Do

As a Licensed Optician, you'll play an essential role in helping patients see and look their best.

Optical Dispensing

• Interpret prescriptions and recommend appropriate lens designs and materials.
• Assist patients in selecting frames that suit their prescription, lifestyle, and style preferences.
• Educate patients on lens technology, coatings, and specialty products.
• Take optical measurements.
• Perform frame fittings, adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting.
• Verify finished eyewear for accuracy and quality.
  
  

Patient Care

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the patient journey.
• Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance.
• Build trusting relationships through personalized recommendations.

Clinic Support

• Collaborate with Optometrists and the clinical team.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Assist with inventory management and merchandising.
• Support daily clinic operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed Optician in Manitoba (or eligible for licensing).
• Previous experience in optical dispensing.
• Strong knowledge of lenses, frame fitting, adjustments, and optical measurements.
• Experience with EMR systems is considered an asset.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
