What You'll Do
As a Licensed Optician, you'll play an essential role in helping patients see and look their best.
Optical Dispensing
- Interpret prescriptions and recommend appropriate lens designs and materials.
- Assist patients in selecting frames that suit their prescription, lifestyle, and style preferences.
- Educate patients on lens technology, coatings, and specialty products.
- Take optical measurements.
- Perform frame fittings, adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Verify finished eyewear for accuracy and quality.
Patient Care
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the patient journey.
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance.
- Build trusting relationships through personalized recommendations.
Clinic Support
- Collaborate with Optometrists and the clinical team.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation.
- Assist with inventory management and merchandising.
- Support daily clinic operations as needed.

Qualifications
- Licensed Optician in Manitoba (or eligible for licensing).
- Previous experience in optical dispensing.
- Strong knowledge of lenses, frame fitting, adjustments, and optical measurements.
- Experience with EMR systems is considered an asset.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
