Optical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with frame selection and lens choices based on their vision needs, lifestyle, and preferences.
• Provide guidance on lens options, coatings, and eyewear products.
• Perform accurate optical measurements to ensure proper fit and comfort.
• Complete frame fittings, adjustments, and eyewear repairs.
• Process eyeglass and contact lens orders with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Maintain an organized, welcoming, and professional optical dispensary.
• Collaborate with the optometry team to provide a seamless and positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Previous optical experience is an asset, but we are happy to train the right candidate.
• Experience in a patient care, retail, or service focused environment is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in helping people.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Comfortable using technology and learning optical systems.
