Nexus Vision Centre is an independent, locally owned optometry practice committed to providing exceptional eye care and a welcoming patient experience. We are currently expanding to a two-doctor practice, creating exciting opportunities for growth within our clinic and for the right team member.
Position Summary
We are looking for a fun, bubbly, and enthusiastic Optometric Assistant who enjoys working with people and thrives in a team environment. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, comfortable with basic technology, and passionate about delivering outstanding customer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient pre-testing and collect preliminary information
- Prepare and set up examination rooms between patients
- Assist doctors during clinic flow as needed
- Help patients select eyewear and provide optical sales support
- Perform eyeglass adjustments, fittings, and minor repairs
- Manage inventory, stock organization, and product displays
- Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone
- Schedule appointments and assist with general administrative tasks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure an efficient patient experience

- Previous experience in optometry, optical, medical, or retail customer service is considered an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
