We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented Part-Time Front Desk / Optical Assistant to join our growing optometry clinic. If you enjoy working with people, have a passion for healthcare, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in patients with a warm, professional attitude
• Answer phone calls, emails, and schedule appointments
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with insurance claims
• Maintain patient records using our electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Assist patients with frame selection and data entering for orders
• Perform pre-testing before eye examinations (training provided if needed)
• Process payments and maintain an organized reception area
• Assist with general clinic and optical retail operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an optometry, optical, ophthalmology, or healthcare clinic is preferred
• Familiarity with optical products (frames, lenses, contact lenses) is an asset
• Fluent in English (required)
• Ability to speak Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an add- on , not required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Comfortable using computers and learning new software
• Positive attitude, dependable, and a team player

Schedule

• Part-time
• Additional weekday shifts may be available based on clinic needs
