Our clinic is a modern, patient-focused optometry practice committed to providing exceptional eye care and outstanding customer service. We are looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, and motivated Part-Time Licensed Optician to join our growing team.

Schedule

• Part-time (2–3 days per week)
• Weekend availability (Saturday) required
• Additional shifts may be available based on clinic needs

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their prescription, lifestyle, and budget
• Educate patients on lens options, coatings, specialty lenses, and eyewear products
• Perform accurate frame fittings, adjustments, repairs, and dispensing
• Take precise optical measurements, including PD, segment height, and optical center
• Process spectacle orders and communicate with optical laboratories
• Verify completed eyewear for prescription accuracy and quality before dispensing
• Maintain an organized and attractive optical dispensary
• Assist with inventory management and merchandising
• Support front desk operations as needed, including appointment scheduling, insurance processing, and patient check-in/check-out
• Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming patient experience

Qualifications

• Licensed Optician in Ontario
• Experienced optical dispensers are encouraged to apply
• Previous experience in an optometry or optical clinic is required
• Strong knowledge of ophthalmic lenses, frame fitting, and optical dispensing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English (required)
• Ability to speak Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a strong asset
• Friendly, professional, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable using EMR and optical management software
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
