Are you passionate about helping people see and look their best? We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Student Optician, Licensed Optician, or Optometric Assistant with dispensing experience.

Our practice has been a trusted part of the Red Deer community for more than eight decades and includes two satellite locations in Rimbey and Rocky Mountain House. What You'll Do
As a key member of our team, your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting patients with frame and lens selection
- Providing optical dispensing and eyewear education
- Adjusting, repairing, and fitting eyewear
- Supporting front desk and reception duties as needed
- Assisting with pre-testing and diagnostic procedures
- Supporting contact lens training and patient education
- Processing orders and coordinating with lens laboratories
- Maintaining product displays and inventory
- Delivering exceptional patient service and creating a positive patient experience
- Collaborating with team members while also working independently when required
What We're Looking For
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Optician, Student Optician, or Optometric Assistant with dispensing experience
- Contact lens/fitting experience considered an asset but not mandatory
- Previous experience in an optometric practice is considered an asset
- Experience with VisualEyes software is preferred
- Strong sales and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Desire to continue learning and expanding optical knowledge
Schedule Requirements
Candidates must be available to work:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Rotating Wednesday evenings until 7:00 PM
- Rotating Saturdays from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (every 2–3 weeks)
Flexibility with scheduling and daily responsibilities is required.
