Focal Pointe Eyecare is a modern, independent optometry clinic focused on elevated eyecare, curated eyewear, and personalized patient experiences. We combine advanced diagnostics, clinical excellence, and a thoughtfully selected collection of independent eyewear to deliver intentional, patient-centered care in a calm, design-forward environment.
We are seeking an experienced Optical Dispenser to join our team and help create exceptional experiences for our patients from the exam room through eyewear selection and dispensing.
Qualifications
• Experience in an optometry clinic or optical dispensary
• Licensed Optician or working toward licensure is an asset
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Experience with EMR or optical software is an asset
• Appreciation for fashion, design, and independent eyewear, with the ability to guide patients toward frames that reflect both their visual needs and personal style
Key Responsibilities
• Guide patients through frame and lens selections based on prescription requirements, lifestyle needs, and personal style
• Educate patients on lens designs, coatings, specialty products, and second-pair options when appropriate
• Take accurate optical measurements and ensure precise order entry and processing
• Perform eyewear fittings, adjustments, troubleshooting, and aftercare services
• Verify completed eyewear orders and ensure quality standards are met before dispensing
• Assist with inventory management, frame merchandising, and maintaining an organized, visually appealing optical gallery
• Support front desk coordination, scheduling, and overall clinic operations as needed
• Contribute to a welcoming, professional environment that reflects the clinic's commitment to exceptional patient care
