Upper Richmond Optometry is growing and looking to add an Optical Assistant to our team. As a high-volume clinic, we are seeking individuals who are confident, organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

What You'll Be Doing
- Welcoming patients and creating a positive experience from check-in to check-out
- Performing pre-testing and preparing patients for their appointments
- Conducting diagnostic imaging and testing, including OCT, retinal imaging, and visual fields
- Scheduling appointments and assisting with clinic flow
- Processing insurance and direct billing submissions
- Providing contact lens training and education
- Supporting doctors and team members in delivering outstanding patient care
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
Required Qualifications
- CCOA Certification or 1–2 years of experience in an optometry clinic
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Professional and patient-focused approach
Assets
- Ocular Hygienist Certification
- Dry eye knowledge or experience
- Experience performing pre-testing and diagnostic imaging
- Contact lens training experience
