The Eye Studio is seeking a new team member!
We are looking for a full-time Optician to join our practice. While experience in optics is an asset, we are willing to train the right candidate.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, patient-focused, and enjoys working with people of all ages in a collaborative team environment.
While the primary focus of this role is optical dispensing and helping patients select eyewear, we are looking for someone who is willing to learn and assist in other areas of the clinic when needed, including reception duties and preliminary testing. We value team members who are adaptable, enjoy variety in their day, and are committed to providing an exceptional patient experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with frame selection, lens options, and eyewear recommendations
- Take accurate measurements for eyewear orders
- Adjust, repair, and troubleshoot eyewear as needed
- Educate patients on lens technologies and eyewear products
- Process optical orders and coordinate with optical laboratories
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the patient journey
- Assist with reception duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and patient check-in/check-out when needed
- Perform preliminary testing for eye examinations after appropriate training
- Support the team in maintaining efficient clinic operations
Education and Requirements:
- Licensed Optician, Optician Apprentice, or optical experience preferred
- We are willing to train and support the right candidate who demonstrates strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute positively to a team
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Basic computer skills
