Optometric Assistant

We are looking to add an optometric assistant to join our team. They must make it a priority to greet our patients and customers in a pleasant manner while maintaining a smooth flow of the office. The primary role would be in the area of technician and duties will include the following:

· Prepare examination rooms including sterilization and calibration of instruments – turn on all computers and set to current patient information.

· Provide direction and information as required to patients and collect required health information prior to eye exam.

· Perform diagnostic testing, including visual fields and OCT, in addition to other pre-exam testing as required.

· Update electronic records, file patient files, and perform other routine clerical tasks.

· Maintain patient records, third party billing and financial records and database as assigned.

· Assist patients in contact lens training, trials, ordering and follow up visits.

· Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adhere to relevant health and safety procedures.
